Youth resilience

Expanding access for youth facing financial or social barriers through structured training that builds confidence, discipline, and resilience.

Program overview

Every young person deserves the opportunity to discover what they're capable of, regardless of their family's income or circumstance.

The Youth Resilience Initiative expands access to structured jiu jitsu training for youth from low-income and subsidized housing communities. Through consistent instruction, mentorship, and progression, participants learn to navigate challenges with greater confidence, discipline, and self-control.

On the mat, progress is earned one skill, one round, and one decision at a time. Our goal is to help young people carry those lessons beyond the academy, giving them tools to respond to bullying, adversity, setbacks, and everyday challenges with greater resilience and belief in themselves.

Program Goals

  • Build confidence and practical anti-bullying skills
